Liam maloney

Liam Maloney is a Toronto-based documentary photographer and a father examining the impact of conflict on civilian populations. He is interested in intimacy and pushing the boundaries of documentary photography by employing collaborative approaches and using new technologies. He wants to promote storytelling that resists age-old tropes and seeks to give people more agency over the way they are represented. Maloney’s work has been published and exhibited internationally, most notably at the Open Society Foundations Moving Walls 23 exhibit, Le Mois de la Photo, Vevey Festival Images, and at Photoville 2016.
